TourCert International Certification

In 2018, Sarchí is recognized as one of the first Sustainable Tourism Destinations of Central America and the Caribbean.

This certification was developed under the TourCert company system, which allowed Destino to make deep diagnoses of sustainability aspects, determine priorities and implement improvement plans through compliance with criteria based on international management standards of quality and sustainability.

The development of this certification process allowed all actors and interest groups linked to tourism to be integrated into sustainable practices, corporate social responsibility and quality in service delivery, and also facilitated the creation of the Sustainability Council that manages and ensures continuous improvement of this certification.
